About Me

The college application process these days can be overwhelming and intimidating. Especially for the everyday student who hasn’t created a non-profit, pursued a successful entrepreneurial project, or contributed to research for the cure for cancer.

I started Everyday Educational Consulting to help lessen the college application anxiety so that families can approach the process with excitement.

I am a librarian and college counselor with more than 15 years experience helping students and families navigate the college journey, from the first discussions about interests and majors to creating a list of possible colleges. From brainstorming the personal statement to the final decision.

My BA is from the University of Scranton in Communication and Philosophy. My parents’ favorite joke was that I graduated college with a degree in thinking out loud. After working for a few years, I went back to school and earned an MS in Library and Information Science from Drexel University. My most recent educational endeavors include certificates in executive function from Landmark and Beacon Colleges, and Pathways to Proficient Writing through AIM Academy in Conshohocken, PA. I am currently working on a certificate in Instructional Design.

I work with all kinds of students. But as the former Director of Post-Secondary Transition at Hill Top Preparatory School in Rosemont, PA, I have specific experience (and affinity for) working with students who have learning disabilities and executive function challenges, are neurodivergent, and deal with anxiety. I helped create curriculum as well as a gap year program designed to help students build skills and confidence for the transition to college.
